ic! berlin steel frames are made from our special spring steel that we have improved over many years to maximize flexibility and strength.

it all began with hand cut aluminum glasses. in these frames, the basic idea behind the hinge could already be seen, even if they were fragile and sensitive.

the first series of our well-known screwless hinge system glasses was produced in 1996. this series was offered for sale to the public in the “design-transfer galley” (berlin) during a launch party.

the imagination knows no boundaries with the ic! berlin fashion collection. glasses from this family are especially extroverted.

our target group includes all people who might be excited or delighted by our products.  this includes actors and actresses, business bosses, politicians and kings.

lara bohinc, wolfgang joop and most recently markus lupfer have played with the possibilities offered by our amazing sheet-metal. in doing so, they work with breakthroughs in material as well as specialized lens forms and -colors or specialized surface finishing techniques and material limitations and strengths. starting in 2005, we will be surprising our customers with limited edition specialty collections. the beginning will be in may with the limited unofficial swiss mountain troop glasses. these glasses were developed in cooperation with our swiss distribution partner, “alpenglühn” (markus moser) and with the mountain climber center in aletsch, switzerland. the swiss everest-climber xxx is the namesake and inspiration PATE? behind these high performance glasses.
